Comment below. First, some oldies...

Remember CB Radio? Remember AOL? Well, social Websites are kinda like that. So, if you're always on the phone, you can be always chatting away online, too. If you're not on Facebook, which is labor-intensive, try Twitter, and its short spurt conversation style. These two are probably all you need, ever, but there are more. Later for that.

Is science-fiction over? You can argue it either way looking at this gadget. Fiction-killing techies are extending doubtful modern practices into fantasy in their labs at companies like Microsoft. Read about the "life recorder" here.

Did you know you can go to Google Translate and get an instant translation of just about any language paragraph? In case you haven't been paying attention because you've been avoiding computers and the Internet, the sci-fi future is here. It's not always so easy. Here, get a laugh from the geeky set in this Techcruch.com report about the latest big-time executive job-jumper?

I want an IPhone. But I know it's just toy lust. I don't make a lot of calls, and my cellphone rings about once a week. I've been using a Palm III PDA for years, and I love it. Problem: it doesn't work well with my new Macbook Pro. I love electronic to-do lists, calendar, contacts and notes, but all that stuff has gone to phones and the Web. Palm lost that battle. So what do I do when I don't need — and don't want to spend $70 a month for — a smartphone? How about the IPod Touch, with all that stuff without the phone and AT&T, because it's a computer with wi-fi? Are you following this? It plays music, too.
