Old People Doing New Stuff; Current Examples

It’s a good sign that you should notice. All around us, people over 50 are doing new stuff.

It isn’t really remarkable. The important thing for you and me is to follow their examples.

Kathy LeeKathy Lee Gifford, 56, just celebrated her first anniversary co-hosting the Today Show’s fourth hour with Hoda Kotb, 44.

She’s plugging her new book, “Just When I Thought I’d Dropped My Last Egg,” an unapologetic romp about getting old.

Michael Caine, 76, one of the world’s steadiest-working actors, just opened in a new movie, “Is Anybody There.”

Show business people are not totally immune to ageism, but there are plenty of role models among them for you, if you take the message to heart. And then, there’s Mickey Rourke.
